About Salon des Amateurs
Salon des Amateurs combines club nights, a bar and an art context inside Kunsthalle Düsseldorf. Since 2004, the small room has been an important meeting point for electronic music that deliberately moves beyond straightforward genre boundaries. Electro, dub, techno, experimental club music, live sets and improvised formats alternate with local residents and international guests. Its close connection to Düsseldorf’s art scene shapes the programme as much as its appetite for unusual transitions between concert and dance floor. The Salon is less a conventional large club than a focused cultural room for curious, distinctive nights.
